The POLAR EXPRESS(TM) comes to life when the train departs Connersville's Grand Central Station for a journey through the quiet countryside for a special stop at the "North Pole" to allow Santa Claus to board the POLAR EXPRESS. Guests on board will enjoy hot chocolate and a cookie while listening and reading along with the magical story.

Experience the joy of watching the children's faces when the train arrives at the "North Pole," where Santa Claus and his helpers will be waiting. Santa will board the POLAR EXPRESS(TM) where he will greet each child and hand them the special first gift of Christmas during the return to the station. You will surely want to make this an annual holiday tradition.

Dates for this year's exciting event will be November 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26; December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17, 2017. Prices for 2017 are $35 per persons ages 2 and up.

Tickets are on sale now online or by calling the Whitewater Valley Railroad Grand Central Station at (765) 825-2054.

The Railroad reserves the right to change train equipment, schedules and/or fares without advance notice. The railroad cannot be responsible for unscheduled delays. The Connersville Station is handicap accessible. Our trips are not currently handicap accessible. We hope to fix this in the future. Most times if someone is not restricted to a chair we can accommodate them on our cars. There are between 4 to six steps to climb to board the cars. The 1920's & 1930's passenger cars used on our excursions were constructed before disability accessibility laws were adopted. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate differently abled passengers who desire to ride one of our trips. Platforms, boarding areas, stairs, step-stools, seating, and especially doorways, passageways and aisles may not accommodate all passengers. Historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, like that used on our excursions, is exempt from ADA regulations under U.S. Code: Title 42: Section 12184.
